Abogada de la Universidad Externado de Colombia, Máster en Derecho de Aguas, Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales de la Universidad de Zaragoza (España) y Doctora en Derecho de la misma Casa de Estudios. Fulbright Visiting Scholar 2021, en el Instituto de Derecho Ambiental (ELI) y en la American University (Estados Unidos).  Su tesis doctoral sobre el  Principio de No Regresión en el Derecho Ambiental obtuvo la calificación Sobresaliente y fue ganadora del Premio a la Mejor Tesis en Derecho Ambiental en España, 2015.  Actualmente es docente investigadora y consultora en Derecho Ambiental y Derecho Forestal para organizaciones nacionales e internacionales.

Lawyer from the Externado de Colombia University, LL.M. in Water Law, Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and  Ph.D. in Law from the same University. Fulbright Visiting Scholar 2021, at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) and the American University (United States). Her doctoral thesis on the Principle of Non-Regression in Environmental Law obtained an Outstanding rating and won the Award for the Best Thesis in Environmental Law in Spain in 2015. She is a research professor and consultant in Environmental Law and Forest Law for national and international organizations.
